NEW HMong Story: Building a Stronger HMong Community

In fall 2019, a dedicated group of HMong professionals in Northeast Wisconsin came together to create safe spaces for networking, mentoring, and leadership. This vision led to the launch of NEW HMong (formerly NEW HMong Professionals), focused on supporting the personal and professional growth of HMong professionals.

However, community needs quickly revealed a broader scope. Guided by needs assessments, NEW HMong expanded its mission to include mental health and wellness, cultural identity, youth programs, community engagement, basic needs support, and more. Today, NEW HMong is a strong, evolving force, building a sustainable and thriving HMong community in Northeast Wisconsin.
