HMong Enrollment Network

The HMong Enrollment Network is a culturally tailored outreach and enrollment program coordinated by NEW HMong, in partnership with Covering Wisconsin, that helps people understand and enroll in Wisconsin health insurance exchange. The network was developed in recognition of the unique linguistic, cultural, and systemic barriers that many HMong individuals and families face when navigating health coverage systems like Medicaid (BadgerCare), Marketplace insurance, or other public benefits.

NEW HMong is a key community partner in the HMong Enrollment Network and serves as a cultural liaison between the HMong community and certified application counselors.  Additionally, we host educational sessions for community members on a range of topics including health insurance options, social programs and health topics. We host meetings every other month on the last Wednesday of the month. 

 

NEW HMong’s collaboration with Covering Wisconsin ensures that HMong community members have access to the support they need—in their language, from people who understand their experiences.
